Yes, for pursuing engineering from the premier private colleges in India, the fees is a bit high (above 10 lakhs). But, if the student has merit then he/she can easily get an educational loan for funding his/her education. I would suggest to go for BITS only as it is the best of the lot.
  • Our fee depends on the caliber of the student. Better the student, lesser is the fee. A scholarship is an Integral part of our fee structure and our fee structure depends on:
    (a) Your percentage in qualifying examination or previous two qualifications (in case of lateral entry).
    (b) Your performance in LPUNEST-2018
    (c) Your performance in National Level Test (in case of Engineering, Architecture, MBA, Law, Pharmacy)
    (d) Your performance in Sports, Cultural, Co-Curricular, Social Service, etc.

Most of the time the total fees (including hostels) is generally more if you are talking of the Engineering part. For BITS fee structure you can visit: http://www.bitsadmission.com/fdmain.aspx.
For MBA at BITS Pilani, the cost is around 7.5 lakhs INR for two years. For more information please visit: http://www.bits-pilani.ac.in/pilani/management/Management

Except for BITS all other private colleges are not even at par with top 15 NITS and top 7 IITs. Make him prepare well for JEE Mains and let him crack it .
For good colleges under JEE Mains refer this link mentioned. All the colleges listed are way better than VIT,LPU and Amity and SRM. More fees does not makes a college good.Checkout this question on shiksha:- https://ask.shiksha.com/which-are-the-top-colleges-under-jee-mains-qna-4340487.
