The SSC JE Selection Process was changed in February 2023, not in 2024. The current process involves three stages:

Paper 1: A computer-based test (CBT) assessing General Awareness, Reasoning Ability, and your chosen Engineering field.

Paper 2: Another computer-based test (CBT) focusing on your specific engineering discipline.

Document Verification: Verification of your documents to ensure you meet eligibility requirements.

A key change from before is that the Document Verification (DV) now happens at the intended departments where you might be recruited, instead of SSC regional offices. This aims to expedite the recruitment process.

Indeed, on February 28, 2023, the SSC JE 2023 selection procedure was modified. Document verification (DV) will henceforth be done at the indented departments by the Commission rather than in its regional headquarters. The candidates can apply for the SSC JE 2024 exam through registration on the official website - ssc.gov.in from Mar

The  SSC JE cut-off is the minimum score that a candidate must obtain in order to qualify for the next stage of the selection process or for final selection. The cut-off is decided by the commission based on various factors such as the number of candidates appearing for the exam, the difficulty level of the exam, and the number of vacancies available for the post. The cut-off may also vary for different categories and posts.
