    Yes certainly LPU takes lateral admission. LPU offers lateral entry admission in following programmes:
    Engineering.
    Management.
    Design.
    Computer Applications and IT.
    Commerce.
    Interior and Furniture Design.
    Pharmaceutical Sciences.
    Hotel Management and Tourism.
    Product and Industrial Design.
    Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical Sciences.
    Architecture.
    Fashion Design.
    Physiotherapy.
    MLT/ Paramedical Sciences.
    Physical Education.

You can join in various lateral entry courses that LPU offers like in Engineering, Management, Design, Hotel Management and Tourism. Product and Industrial Design, Fashion Design etc. You can check the eligibility norms at the website after identifying the area of interest.

    Yes, there is and the criteria for the same is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (Engg.) (any stream) (3 years after 10th or 2 yrs after 10+2(Non Medical)) or B.Sc.(Non-Medical) or B.Sc.(Computer Science) or equivalent.
    Therefore if you qualify the same you may apply for admissions at LPU.

    Let me just share the Lateral Entry Courses that are offered in Engineering i.e Diploma and B.Tech.
    LPU does provide Lateral Entry courses with excellent learning opportunities and they are.
    1.Diploma (Engg.) [Lateral Entry] : The eligibility is Pass with 50% aggregate marks in ITI (in Technical field) 1 year/ 2 years Certificate course after 10th or 2 years Diploma from SLIET or 10+2 Vocational (in Technical field) or 10+2 (Non-Medical) or equivalent from any recognized Board/ Council.

Hi there,  

Yes, LPU conducted LPUNEST entrance test for its various programmes. However, it depends upon in which stream you want to take admission. For many UG/PG programmes such as btech, B.Sc agriculture, law, management etc. test is mandatory for both admission and scholarship purpose. For some other courses such as computer application, BBA, hotel management, Bsc IT,   commerce,   arts etc. test is only for scholarship purpose .

Eligibility for admission to B.Tech programs at LPU:

Candidates must have passed Class 12 (10+2) with at least 60% (sixty percent) marks. 

Physics, Mathematics, and English are compulsory subjects. 

However, for specializations in Biotechnology, Food Technology, and Biomedical Engineering, Biology/Biotechnology will be considered in place of Mathematics/Physics. 

Candidates must either have a valid score in LPUNEST, JEE Main, or CUET. In addition, there may be a Key Qualifier (KQ) test and interview for B.Tech CSE-Software Production Engineering.
