Is there any entrance exam for M.Com at Lovely Professional University?

M.Com at LPU is highly practical programme which helps student gain a comprehensive knowledge of commerce and management, leading to specialist knowledge within your chosen area of specialisation. The student should pass with 50% aggregate marks in Bachelor's degree (Commerce or Management or Economics or Accounts) or equivalent. (5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants). This course has been Accredited by ACBSP (USA). The facility of International Exposure Option has also been given :The student may be given an option to go for 4 weeks study tour to USA/ European countries or any other country as decided by the University subject to conditions. The following are the programme outcomes : PO1 :Development of Solutions : Apply analytical decision making skills and solve problems using cross functional information and research tools. PO2 : Technical Skills : Carry out accounting transactions using industry relevant software. PO3 : Research Orientation : Apply research and statistical tools to investigate business issues and problems. PO4 : Sustainability and Ethics : Take or recommend business decisions in the light of professional ethics and sustainability concerns. PO5 : Communication : Exercise effective written and oral communication skills for professional presentations and social interactions. PO6 : Leadership and Team work : Demonstrate ability to lead or work as an effective team member in organizing events or discharging responsibilities. PO7 : Life Long Learning : Recognize the need for and an ability to engage in life-long learning. There are several companies from ICICI, HSBC, RBI visited for recruitment purpose.

Hi, The eligibility criteria is 50% (Bachelor's degree with Commerce/ Management/ Economics/ Accounts). Hence you do not have to appear for LPU NEST exam. Masters in Commerce in LPU is Highly practical programme which helps student gain a comprehensive knowledge of commerce and management, leading to specialist knowledge within your chosen area of specialisation. It is accredited by ACBSP (USA). Industry certifications, MOOCs, Hackathons / Co-curricular Competitive events, Workshops, Guest lectures, Educational Trips, Live projects, Incubation projects, Community projects, projects with NGOs etc. Are an integral part of curriculum. Student may be given an option to go for 4 weeks study tour to USA/ European countries or any other country as decided by the University subject to conditions. The programme outcomes include Development of Solutions, Technical Skills, Research Orientation, Sustainability and Ethics, Communication, Leadership and Team work and Life Long Learning. Suhas, there is no entrance test for M.Com (Regular program). The eligibility for the same is Pass with 50% aggregate marks in Bachelors degree (Commerce or Management or Economics or Accounts) or equivalent. But if you want to take admission in M.Com (Hons.), then the eligibility is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Bachelors degree (Commerce or Management or Economics or Accounts) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST-2017 or In case marks scored in Bachelor's Degree are 70% or above, then LPUNEST-2017 will be exempted and candidate may apply for admission.

Dear, Being a student of LPU, I think I can provide you with an honest opinion. Though I'm not pursuing M.Com I do have my friends who are pursuing the same. There is no entrance test for M.Com (Regular programme). The eligibility for the same is Pass with 50% aggregate marks in Bachelors degree (Commerce or Management or Economics or Accounts) or equivalent. LPU believes that practical knowledge has more value rather than theoretical one so, it imparts practical exposure to the student through well-equipped designed labs with the experienced faculty and the lab assistants that make you excel in the study. LPU adopts new technologies faster than others they update their curriculum after each semester by taking feedback from the students and also to meet the latest standards. She told me, Regular Industry Interaction is ensured through guest lectures, Industrial visit, and live industry projects, etc. Industry and Academicians from National and International Level visit the University to share their experiences, thus, providing global exposure to the students. The programme has been designed to offer to eligible candidates specialisation in a wide range of managerial skills, while at the same time building competence in a particular area of business. LPU provides a good platform for placements for all streams and programs. LPU has a separate dept which looks after placement opportunities. Apart from that, each school has its own placement coordinator who is responsible and actively works for not only calling companies to the campus, but also for preparing students for placements by giving them proper training. Good track record of placement of students in companies like Amazon, Hidesign, Royal Bank of Scotland, Aon Hewitt, India Real Estate Property Site, Bestseller, Tommy Hilfiger, IBM Global, University 18, UAS-Int. , Flourish Food, Concentrix, Indigo Airlines, ICICI, Balaji Telefilms, Vardhman, Bajaj Allianz, NPCL, India Infoline, Bank of America, Duke, Winstar, Reliance Retail, Ceasefire, Outlook, JET Airways, Madhura Fashions are the companies which visit LPU for the placement of commerce students. Some of the alumni who graduated in commerce programmes from Mittal School of Business are working with companies like Kotak Mahindra Bank, IndusInd Bank, RoyalBank of Scotland, KPMG, Earnest & Young and many more in core profile.
