Lovely Professional University is a university. So, it needs a UGC approval that is already given approval to this university. And universities don't need any AICTE approval. To check more affiliations kindly visit the website www.lpu.in. Thank you.

Lovely Professional University is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), a statutory body of the Government of India for the coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of university education in India, under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956.
AICTE approval is not required for a university to run a course in technical education as has been held by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in its judgment CWP2056 of 1999 titled Bharathidasan University & ANR. V/S All India Council for Technical Education & ORS, and various other cases.

Yes, it is recognized by UGC and being recognized by it, LPU or any other university doesn't require a mandatory recognition by AICTE.

LPU is recognised by UGC. So, if any university is UGC recognised then it does not need AICTE accrediation. Other than this LPU has accrediation from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), University Grants Commission - Distance Education Bureau (UGC-DEB),National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Council of Architecture (COA), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), Indian Council Of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Bar Council of India (BCI), The Institution of Engineers (India), Institute of Town Planners, India (ITPI).

LPU is the best University to join as it focuses on the overall growth of the students.
