Hi Vaishali,
Candidates must have 60% aggregate marks in 12th grade (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Biotechnology) must be studied. LPU NEST which was earlier an entrance exam is not mandatory this year due to pandemic of COVID-19. Thus, Online Admission is already started and one can proceed to take online admissions through their website www.lpu.in. if any candidate assumes that he/she will definitely get minimum 60% aggregate marks in 12th grade. They must call their Academic executives on their toll free numbers.

First lets understand what is Forensic science?
The application of scientific methodology and knowledge to criminal investigations and legal matters. A multidisciplinary subject, it encompasses various fields of science such as chemistry, physics, geology, biology, psychology, engineering and social science etc.
Forensic science is a subject that fascinates many.For science and criminal justice, it is a major study. Presently it is essentially a crime laboratory-based profession.
The scope of Forensic Science has increased exponentially due to increase in crime rate and criminals.
Various profiles include some of the forensic scientists who visit the crime scene to collect the evidence themselves and others work in a forensic laboratory to perform analysis on objects.
As the forensic laboratory experts, they also testify as observers in both criminal and civil cases and can work for either the defense or the prosecution.
In government sector these professionals work in different law enforcement agencies and investigation departments such as police, investigative services of state and central government and legal system. Some of the private agencies also employed those candidates who have some qualification in this field.
The highly trained and experienced forensic scientist may hire by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) & Intelligence Bureau (IB) and RAW in India and by FBI, MI6 KGB kind of agencies abroad.
You can also work as a freelancer as forensic scientists specializing in one segment (e.g. forensic audit of accounts) & can be paid much. Positions of legal counselor also open up after gaining experience as a Forensic Scientist.
Teaching is another interesting career, which is also evergreen, but merely graduation may not be enough for forensic scientists for teaching positions. You can work in the institutions that impart education in forensic science like LPU.
This being NICHE field, the job scope is for people who have good training. You must find the curators with adequate intellectual capital to pursue this program.

LPU is a very good choice to pursue B.sc Forensic Sciences.

Yes, LPU is a very good option to go for.It is known for its exposures,practical orientations, curriculum rogor and placements as well.All such facts are to be considered as per your course and definitely you can proceed with LPU since it satisfies them all well.

For these types of non-technical courses, you need thorough dedication and continuous studies (mostly up to PhD). As far as LPU is concerned, yes, it's a great university to start with but in your life, you need either the training in any recognized department or under government institute or degree under esteemed education. Only then your degree will be worthy. You can start as it is a good place with very less fees and facility. Also, all the private universities offer the same kind of studies.
