LPU isn't an AICTE approved university. I know its a UGC approved university. Will the value of B.Tech degree from LPU will be less?

Let me clear that AICTE Stands for All India Council For Technical Education whose primary objectives are to PROMOTE, PLAN, COORDINATE, REGULATE & MAINTAIN quality of the Technical Education in INDIA. Secondly AICTE approval is required by the colleges/institutions in India to run Technical courses. Since LPU is a UNIVERSITY and is recognised by the UGC (approval proof present on their official website), the AICTE approval is not required to run any of the technical courses in the University.

LPU is a full-fledged university approved by UGC. It does not need approval from the All India Council for Technical Education. The Supreme Court of India made it clear that it is not mandatory for a university to seek prior approval of (AICTE) however the 'technical institutions' need to seek approval from AICTE t start a new course or department. As per the NIRF rankings conducted by the ministry of education, LPU is at no 66 amongst all government and private engineering institutions imparting education in engineering. Lately, an LPU student from the engineering department got the highest package of Rs 42 Lacs per annum. Its degrees are valid. More than 700 companies from across the country come to the campus to recruit LPU students. Hope you are not scared anymore.

Hi, No, the value will not be less because LPU is UGC-approved. If a university is UGC approved then AICTE approval is not required. It has other accreditation also like Association Of Indian Universities (AIU), Council Of Architecture (COA), National Council For Teacher Education (NCTE), Pharmacy Council Of India (PCI), Indian Council Of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Bar Council Of India (BCI), The Institution Of Engineers (India), Institute Of Town Planners, India (ITPI) as well as International Memberships. First of all, AICTE approval is not required for a university to run a course in technical education as has been held by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in its judgment CWP2056 of 1999 titled BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY & ANR. V/S ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION & ORS, and various other cases. Secondly Lovely Professional University is recognised by many Accreditation councils of India & thoroughly recognised by UGC in 2006. LPU is the best University to join as it focuses on the overall growth of the students. Being an alumnus of LPU I would prefer LPU as it has helped me grow professionally and provides exposure to various opportunities in terms of internships, workshops, guest lectures, industrial visits, placements etc. As per my knowledge, Lovely Professional University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), a statutory body of the Government of India for the coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of university education in India, under section 2 (f) of the UGC Act, 1956. LPU does not require an AICTE approval since it is already approved by UGC, a statutory body of the Government of India. This is because universities do not require AICTE approval compulsorily. AICTE approval is not required for a university to run a course in technical education as has been held by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in its judgment CWP2056 of 1999 titled BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY & ANR. V/S ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION & ORS, and various other cases UGC approved is better as it will be internationally recognised. AICTE is some kind of government recognition but it will have no reciprocal approval internationally. AICTE Approval is used to be deemed universities as a money-spinner for the colleges. The Universities established by an Act of Central or State Government are valid Universities. Degree awarded by a valid University and specified by UGC under Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956 is recognised, subject to the approval of the programme by the concerned Statutory Professional Council (s), wherever applicable.
