Not at all dear, according to the Supreme Court, AICTE approval is required only when the course is being run by an institute. Lovely Professional University is recognised by many Accreditation councils of India & thoroughly recognised by UGC in 2006. AICTE approval is not required for a university to run a course in technical education as has been held by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in its judgement CWP2056 of 1999 titled Bharathidasan University & ANR. Hi, No, the value will not be less because LPU is UGC-approved. If a university is UGC approved then AICTE approval is not required. It has other accreditation also like Association Of Indian Universities (AIU), Council Of Architecture (COA), National Council For Teacher Education (NCTE), Pharmacy Council Of India (PCI), Indian Council Of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Bar Council Of India (BCI), The Institution Of Engineers (India), Institute Of Town Planners, India (ITPI) as well as International Memberships. LPU is the best University to join as it focuses on the overall growth of the students. LPU is a full-fledged university approved by UGC. It does not need approval from the All India Council for Technical Education. The Supreme Court of India made it clear that it is not mandatory for a university to seek prior approval of (AICTE) however the 'technical institutions' need to seek approval from AICTE t start a new course or department.
