I think we all have been deviated by this question from the real topic which is what is the value of other PG Programmes when we compare it with MBA.... I feel that several experts still not got involved in this topic .... I am missing @gomti out here....

If a person is having excessive passion and hence he may able to crack entrance so why he should wait another 2yrs for experience, if he is getting a reputed degree in these years he can have experience later.. I expect experts view in MSK70515 in dis discussion

maybe we are trying to see things from a global outlook if we take MSK70515's view.Desi view is "managerial" window opens with MBA... Is it really practical to expect a managerial work exp. after bachelors? the BIG question ...Alternatively some maybe looking for research after MBA...

Hi Arun, I certainly feel that there is no comparison and one should not even draw it that ways. MBA is a complete Mnaagement oriented course, so even if you take up MBA in IT, that does not involves coding, where as IT does offers it; and the same way when you take up say M.Com which is a commerce

Arun, I would say that the value of these degrees would be good if they are done through a Top University say M.Sc In Economics through LSE (i.e. London School of Economics) would def have value equivalent to MBA in india....
