me2016-2020 batch i have backlogs and currently i am having a 8 sem exam(arrears are excluded)am i eligible to apply the gate and take exam

If you cannot get a duly signed Certificate from the Head of the Department/Institute, you should
submit final year marksheet (of any one semester), even if there are backlogs/arrears in some subjects. So candidates of final semester with backlogs are also eligible to apply for GATE exam.
