if u think that u r really a man for machines ,and wanted to make machines then first understand machines .The best way to understand machines is B.Tech in mechanical engineering and then go ahead with M.Tech Machine Design. Here u r ,u can design develop and build ur own machines

Why an Engineering Curriculum in a Science Degree?
Engineering is concerned with the application of the basic sciences and mathematics to solving real-world problems. On the one hand a scientist is a "consumer" of engineering solutions, e.g. scientific instrumentation, or computational algorithms. On the other hand the quest for engineering solutions to human problems invariably leads to questions that would interest a basic scientist: e.g., fundamentally new phenomena that could lead to compact, sensitive and energy efficient sensors.

Hi Vidit, to the best of my knowledge you can go for the combo you have mentioned and i feel IISC -Bangalore will give you an advantage in exploring and experimenting with pure science. You can go for B.S (physics) or B.S (materials). Plz log on to www. iisc.ernet.in . for further details.

if u like computers do B.C.A and then an M.C.A degree would bring you at power with B-Tech comp science. but you have to continue to learn new languages like how it started from java, c+, c++ etc and u have to keep yourself up to date. if u choose this you could develop your own software and all. you could do automobile/mechanical engg if intrested.checkout www.careerforum.com , www.careerfunds.com

Thanks for giving us an opportunity to interact with a young scientist Vidit. I have some questions for you .
Here comes my first question. Have you ever participated in" National Science Congress " or state/district/school level science fares? If the answer to the above question is yes, can you throw some light on your exhibit?
