13.11 Nuclear radius of the gold isotope, ${}_{47}^{197}{A u}$ = $R_{A u}$

Nuclear radius of silver isotope, ${}_{47}^{107}{A g}$ = $R_{A g}$

Mass number of gold, $A_{A u}$ = 197

Mass number of silver, $A_{A g}$ = 107

The ratio of the radii of the two nuclei is related with their mass numbers as :

$\frac{R_{A u}}{R_{A g}}$ = ${[\frac{A_{A u}}{A_{A g}}]}^{1 / 3}$ = ${[\frac{197}{107}]}^{1 / 3}$ =1.2256

Hence, the ratio of the nuclear radii of the gold and silver isotope is 1.23
