    First resonating length = λ = V f = 3 4 0 3 4 0 = 1 m

    Second resonating length = 3 λ 4 = 7 5 c m

    Third resonating length = 5 λ 4 = 1 2 5 c m

    Height of water required = 125 – 75 = 50cm

    First resonating length = ? = V f = 3 4 0 3 4 0 = 1 m

    Second resonating length = 3 ? 4 = 7 5 c m

    Third resonating length = 5 ? 4 = 1 2 5 c m

    Height of water required = 125 – 75 = 50cm

According to question, we can write

    F C A = F C B = K q Q x 2 + ( d 2 ) 2 F = 2 F C A c o s θ = 2 K q Q x [ x 2 + ( d 2 ) 2 ] 3 2

For maxima of force   d F d x = 0 , s o

x = d 2 2
