This is a short answer type question as classified in NCERT Exemplar

$α = \frac{? l}{l ? T},$ $α = \frac{4 * 10^{- 4}}{2 * 10}$ = $2 * 10^{- 5}$ ^oC^-1

From next observation $? l = 2 * 10^{- 5} * 1 * 10 = 2 * 10^{- 4}$

From next observation $? l = 2 * 10^{- 5} * 2 * 20 = 8 * 10^{- 4} m$

From next observation $? l = 2 * 10^{- 5} * 3 * 10$ = $6 * 10^{- 4} m$ so this value satisfies the equation.
