Techno India University was founded in West Bengal in 2012. It is a subsidiary of the Techno India Group. The university provides UG, PG, and research level degree programmes in a variety of fields such as science, arts, commerce, law, and fine arts. The University is West Bengal's first private university.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria to apply for UG Courses, Candidates must be qualified in the 10+2 Examination with minimum aggregate marks. The selection of the Candidates will be based on Merit.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria to apply for PG Course, Candidates must be qualified with a bachelor's degree with minimum aggregate marks.

Eligibility Criteria: 

1- B.Tech/B.Arch Eligibility Criteria: A candidate seeking admission to B.Tech and B.Arch UG degree programme, must have passed HSC/10+2 exam with minimum 60% marks in aggregate. He/she should have studies English along with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. OR for Diploma in Engineering and Integrated B.Tech course, a candidate must have passed 10th from a recognised Board with Science and mathematics as compulsory subjects. Apart from academics, for B.Tech admissions, a candidate must have a valid WBJEE/JEE Mains/TNJEE score and for B.Arch admissions score in NATA/JEE Mains exam is essential.

2- M.Tech/M.Arch Eligibility Criteria: A candidate seeking admission to M.Tech and M.Arch PG degree programme, must have passed Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognised University in relevant stream. Apart from academics, for M.Tech admissions, a candidate must have a valid GATE/TGATE score.

Techno India University, Kolkata offers UG, PG and PhD courses in the field of Engineering, Commerce, Science, Management, and Humanities & Law. Admissions to most of the UG and PG courses are based on the Techno Joint Entrance Exam (TNJEE) conducted by the university. However, the university also accepts scores of National/State-level exam: JEE Main, WBJEE for BE/BTech courses, NATA for B.Arch, WBJEE ANM & GNM exam for GNM course, CLAT for Law Courses, GATE exam for ME/MTech courses, and CAT/MAT scores for MBA/PGDM courses. Admissions to PhD programs are based on UGC NET/ GATE exams. Admissions to remaining courses are based on the academic merit of the candidate.

College Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is good which includes a large auditorium hall, well-furnished library, and laboratories. It includes a football ground, a food court, a tennis court, a common room and a swimming pool but it is small little bit .The college has a canteen which offers good quality food No doubt. The condition of the hostel is good, and air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned rooms are also available, But the distance of the hostel is a little bit far from the college.

Academics: Department of Electrical Engineering, Techno Main Salt Lake To impart knowledge through research based teaching –learning process as to evolve globally competitive Electrical Engineers with high human values and thereby contributing to the knowledge-based economy and society.Teachers are too good no doubt they are teaching well. Everything is alright. No problem.

Placements: Placement of this college- Civil Engineering 14%, Computer Science and Engineering 85%, Electrical Engineering. 2020-21. 57%, Electronics and Communication Engineering. 73% Information Technology70%, Mechanical Engineering. 28% The average salary ranges from 3.5 lacs to 4 lacs. Placement process is not so easy. Actually there are 3 step if you qualify then you can reach the interview round.

Value for Money: The college fee is INR 4.84 Lacs for 4 years. This is good when compared to other private college, have a good placement scenario. Even during pandemic, placement were done and was good. Most of the students get placed in IT sector. Some students gets placed in marketing companies as well. Placement in core sector is not up to mark, as less students get placed in core companies. Even from core branches, most students gets. If you get placed, then the money spend is worth it.

Campus Life: Campus life is more than good. There are many clubs which organise different events throughout the year.

Sri Venkateswara University provides residential facilities to graduate and postgraduate students, research scholars, post-doctoral fellows, and other researchers on the campus. Summer fellows, research associates, visiting scientists, faculty from other universities, and academics are also provided accommodation in the university guest house. Sri Venkateswara University's hostel for women started in 1954 with only one block. Now it has nine blocks: 5 in Premises I and 4 in Premises II, inclusive of a Working Women’s Hostel. There are three kitchens and five dining halls. The hostel office is attached to the hostels, with fourteen office staff and a manager.
