Hello Khushi, I am afraid there is no straight forward answer to your query. This is so because percentile is a very different concept than percentage and in JEE Mains ranking is dependent on the percentile and not on the percentage for absolute marks scored. To take a recent example, the results in the percentile have been announced by the government of Maharashtra for the engineering entrance exam conducted by them called MHT CET. And the analysis shows that this year the students have to score almost 10 to 15 marks in absolute terms more for getting the same percentile as last year. My sincere advice would be not to get worried by the ranking but try to aim for getting above 90% marks in JEE Mains examination. Best wishes to you.
