You can surely go ahead and pursue BTech Electrical Engineering course at some of best Electrical Engineering colleges in India after clearing your Class 12 board examination with at least 50 to 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Further, you must prepare well for entrance exams as well to secure a seat at a good academic institute.

Several private colleges do provide admission to BTech Electrical Engineering course on basis of your Class 12 board exam marks. However, they conduct their own assessment rounds in such cases, like Personal Interview or Group Discussion round.

Yes, you may apply to IHM Hyderabad provided you have scored 70% in Class 12, and that also makes you eligible for NCHM JEE. Though your marks at the Class 12 level are also required for the eligibility criteria, entrance exam ranking plays a very crucial role while taking you onboard. Hi Sandeep,

If your passport is expired and you are applying to a university or institution that requires a passport for documentation, it may be an issue. However, the necessity of an updated passport can vary depending on the institution's specific requirements.

Generally, for admission purposes, universities in India may not ask for a passport unless you are applying for international courses or need it for visa purposes.

For domestic courses, institutions usually don't require an updated passport. However, for future use, especially if you plan to study abroad or travel, you should renew your passport as soon as possible.
