Yes actually its very important to attend the GDPI cause through the GDPI round only one can evaluate what type of person you are, what are your strengths and your weakness. which are the areas where you need to work upon. And in my college there is a process through which one is allotted MENTORS on the basis of their GDPI round only if you in future become the student of ABBS. The Mentor will take care of your performance throughout the 2 years. So in my college GDPI plays a very important role.

Once you are selected for the 2 years MBA program you have to pay an installment of Rs.100,000 to book your seat, but if you wish to withdraw the money or don't wish to join KSOM for any personal reason, then a sum of Rs. 6000 would be deducted and the remaining Rs.96,000 would be returned to you.

The main difference between PGDM and MBA is that PGDM is a postgraduate diploma which is given by stand alone / Autonomous Institutes which come under the jurisdiction of AICTE like IIMs, XLRI, SP Jain etc. And MBA is a degree program provided only by Unversities and come under the jurisdiction of UGC like JBIMS and FMS, PUMBA, these B-schools are university depts. of their respective university.
