Law and engineering have different academic expectations. Engineering degrees have a fairly decent workload, but a very high expectation for fluency with complex thought. Mechanical engineering too is a stream similar to other engineering streams so the admission criteria too is the same. So rely on your merit that would help you a long way. The admission process of engineering colleges is not difficult. The only thing is your result of the last degree you have pursued. At IILM University, the student's overall health and well being is very important. Yes, it is mandatory for all students staying in the hostel to have health/medical insurance. This can be facilitated by the institute in case the student does not have one already. You need to have a graduation with minimum 50%. The entrance test vary according to the colleges. These days due to COVID-19 some good universities I have heard like Lovely Professional University have started the process of filling the application forms online only. The universities have molded their admission process to suit the new crisis with added scholarship schemes for Covid. Well, I believe you can proceed with CAT as in the gap would not be a much problem for your further studies. But you have to qualify you Bachelors degree first. Till now you are having a really good percentages and I hope you will be achieving good in your Bachelors also. Apart from IIM there are various other universities, I am known to Lovely professional university which is having a good NIRF ranking and also good among the placements.

The eligibility and criteria of NLSIU Bangalore for B.A. LLB is given below.
Eligibility for Admission :
1. Passed the Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2) system or an examination equivalent thereto securing in the first attempt, not less than 50% (45% in the case of SC / ST candidates and persons with disability) in the aggregate.
2. Admission to the B.A.,LL.B.(Hons.) Degree programme is purely on merit as assessed through a Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) conducted by the CLAT Committee constituted for the purpose.
So from above you can not get admission in NLSIU Bangalore in asked course without CLAT scores/ ranks.

Syllabus and mode of the IEMJEE exam are absolutely same as that of JEE Main. Comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics divided into 3 sections.
