Dear Kiran,
Hons in any course means a more detailed study of certain subjects. So when you do a BCom Hons you study a few subjects with more depth increasing your competence in those areas.
However BCom Professional, is an amalgamation of an ACADEMIC program called BCom and a PROFESSIONAL program called BBA. In my opinion a BCom Professional is a far better substitute for a commerce student over a BBA.
If you are a student of Delhi, another difference you would like to consider is that BCOM Hons in Delhi University is now a 4 year degree where as BCOM Professional in most places is still a 3 year degree.
