The scope of mining engineering is similar to the number invented by Aryabhatta. Choose Mining if none of the better options are available. Mining should be your last choice. Mining is not the best choice but you can always change your path in the long race and of course, you can use your mining degree as a tool for moving ahead. In my opinion, CS EE and EC branches would provide you far better opportunities than mining. So choose mining, if it is your one and only last available option. Do like if the answer is helpful.

Engineering courses whether B.Tech Mechanical or B.Tech Civil Engineering or other ones, must be approved by AICTE, respective state government and preferably affiliated with state government universities. I advise you not to opt for any private universities since they are not under AICTE & engineering courses are not approved by AICTE. Regarding, Indo Global, it is approved by AICTE, Government of Punjab and affiliated with state government university IKG PTU Jalandhar. It will be best suitable for doing B.Tech course & follows all rules, regulations & gives best academics, placements to students of all courses.
