According to JEE official website it is clearly mentioned that to appear in JEE Mains exam you must have to clear 10+2 pattern (75%+ for IIT and NIT). Diploma degree is invalid for JEE Mains application form. However, you can check it in CBSE's JEE.nic.in or you can call the officials.

The admission into IITs for undergraduate programmes is based on the ranks in JEE Advanced.
For JEE Advanced, the syllabus is NCERT's class 11th and 12th. But the difficulty level is quite high.

Securing a minimum of 60% marks in 10+2+3 or equivalent examination is a mandatory criteria. However, for some PG courses the minimum percentage ranges between 50-60%.
