Both the institute are good equally, but Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology is better than VIT. Thapar has various international rankings, excellent placement records, a qualified team of professionals as faculty members who provide the best possible guidance. Although VIT has a better ranking but grooming wise TIET does the work better. Thapar University is better than VIT in placements as well as in academics. Thapar focus is always on quality whereas VIT's main focus is on quantity.
