I suggest you do graduation in any of the Humanities related subjects and by the time you will reach the 3rd year, you will develop some interest / inclination towards some field. You can then do post graduation in its related subject and begin your career.

You need to get into a good , reputed coaching instutute and prepare for UPSC as well as state PSC exams after you complete graduation. However, personally speaking I would have liked you to do post graduation before making a try for Govt jobs / UPSC exams etc. That would be more beneficial in the longer run.

Hi Rajan,
Sure career as a translator is good option as apart from being a translator you can work in processes where they require people who know that language or you can also apply for embassy's. If you want to go ahead in that direction then you should do a language course and it cannot be through correspondence.
For better results and good option you should join a good language institute.
I hope this answers your query.
