In past each bank conducts their bank examination for recuritment of bank staff ie. officers and clerks. but now a days the Institute of banking personeel (IBPS) conducts the examination for 19-20 public sector banks but it does not inculde the biggest lender of country, SBI which conducts its own examination for its self and also for its associates like SBH etc.
The IBPS also conducts the examination for Regional rural banks of country. The private sector bank conducts their examination by own. The syllabus for same is Quntitative apptitute, Reasoning, English and General knowledge in an objective manner. the IBPS also conducts discriptive answers also in which institue gives some subjects on which you have to express your opinion in limited words like 120 words only. There are also special examination are conducted for specific area like specalised officers like marketing, Agricultural officers and technical officers etc.
There is qualification marks for each section of question papar like specified marks in quntitative examination, reasoning and english etc
