Yes, Mathematics is indeed an important component of Forensic Science, although the extent of mathematical knowledge required may vary depending on the specific area within Forensic Science and the level of specialization.

Further, while advanced mathematical skills are not always required for all aspects of Forensic Science, a solid understanding of basic Mathematics, including algebra, geometry, and statistics, is usually necessary for success in the field.

Hello there, first of all I should say selection of BCA is a wise decision in today's scenario.
Being an experienced professional in this domain, I would like to mention some prospect of BCA course at first to support your decision in this regard.
I.T Sector is one of the major employment providers in India and is expected to grow more in the coming years. BCA, that stands for Bachelor in Computer Application, trains students in developing, programming, networking, computer and mobile softwares, app development, etc. If you're hard working and talented enough, your 3-year BCA degree can stand at par with a 4-year B.Tech degree.

Bachelor of Computer Application is the junior of Bachelors in IT or engineering. I said it junior is because it is a three year degree which makes it more like a traditional degree than a professional one. It is less of practices then doing a B.Tech and as you yourself know it is easy to get admission into this. The same is the case of jobs based on BCA. If you get less time in technical skills development, you know less and job is though to get. BCA, however, is such a good degree that by giving one year less then B.Tech, one can easily get the same job as a B.Tech or BE if the computer skills are very well learned.

Dear Gaurav,
B.Tech in computer science and B.Tech in IT are somewhat same. But you can say that CSE is a much wider term. It means CSE is a set and IT is a subset. If you want specialisation in software engineering related field, then I would suggest you to go with B.Tech in IT. However, if you want the entire domain of computer and its programming with IT then you can opt for CSE. Now, the choice is yours. To be more specific again, B.Tech IT is the best for software engineering. I hope this helps. Up vote the answer if you feel satisfied.
Good luck.

You could consider taking up engineering through state level entrance exams if not the JEE. If you are not at all inclined towards engineering in itself, then perhaps consider doing B.Sc or BCA. In B.Sc, you have a wide range of options. Whichever subject truly interests you, pick it up.
