B.Sc. Agriculture involves study of agriculture sciences and use of modern scientific equipment and techniques in agriculture, land surveying, soil Science, water resource management, animal and poultry management, basics of biotechnology etc. The objective of the course is to use these concepts to train students to improve agricultural productivity. B.Sc. Agriculture graduates can find jobs in both public and private sectors. The Gazetted post of Government of India like Agricultural Officer (Agronomist) is one of the most prestigious jobs in public sector after B.Sc. Agriculture. Agriculture officer, Assistant Plantation Manager, Agricultural Research Scientist, Agriculture Development Officers, Agriculture Technician, Agriculturists, Business Development Executive, Marketing Executive etc. are some of the job profiles associated with the course. The average annual salary offered to these professionals ranges between INR 2 to 4.5 lacs. this is a rapidly developing field. Many private businesses are exploring this field and heavily investing in it. It is safe to say that there are ample job opportunities for Biotechnology graduates in private sector. Government sector too offers job opportunities, but not in the scale in which private sector does. Some prominent industries where Biotechnology professionals may find jobs are- Pharmaceuticals Industry, Healthcare sector, Chemical Industry and Research sector. Research sector in particular is quite lucrative. One may build a rewarding career in this field. To thrive in this field, one must possess B.Sc. as well as M.Sc. Degree! The basic eligibility criterion for pursuing MA (psychology) degree is having graduation degree in any stream. However, many of the reputed universities demand graduation degree with Honours in psychology or psychology as one of the subjects studied in graduation from any of the recognised university/college of the country for admission to MA (psychology) degree course.
