Ideally, two years are sufficient to prepare for CAT. However, that's just a perspective, I know people who have aced the CAT with just 6-8 months of preparation. Everything depends on you, the amount of effort and dedication that you put in for the preparation. It is not necessary to have work experience in MBA, but definitely it helps.

For having knowledge of computer science in the cheapest cost, I would suggest you should take admission in a government college that is offering B.Sc in computers. Alternatively, any other college that is offering the same subject.

When we use the term IT, generally, it doesn't replicate IT stream for any course i.e. BE/ B.Tech, it specifies IT industry as a whole which includes both CSE and IT. The answer to your question is CSE is more preferred as compared to IT as options for the job profiles are little higher for CSE.

The basic eligibility criterion for pursuing MA (psychology) degree is having graduation degree in any stream. It will help if you have some background of IT in 12th, when doing engineering. But which branch you will get in the admission process entirely depends on how you score in CET conducted for admissions to engineering colleges. Better the score, better the chances.

SRM University is a self-financing, totally for profit institution. Everything is a revenue making model. Low quality food is served in hostels so that students will eat junk food at Java Green again owned by goons of the university. It is recently in news for defrauding large number of students to the tune of 90 crores and the owner cum chancellor is arrested and the final verdict is yet to be given in the court of law. The internal marks are 50- which you can buy in some departments. There is allegations that the. Question papers are leaked or compromised in many instances. You should take admission in HIT.
