If you want to do a civil service doesn't matter which stream you take, you should be graduate with any subjects, there is nothing to be particular about any stream. You can appear for exam irrespective of your stream so, I would suggest you to take the stream which you wanna study or in which you can excel. If you see the previous data there are many variations a student who is doing B.Tech ( Science) or MBBS or law or any other Bachelor degree, just not cleared the exam but with a very good rank, so as you see that doesn't matter which stream you take, start preparing for the exam with right guidance and every exam demand something just make sure to be good in that, as for civil services have (patience ) start reading newspaper or magazines on daily basis, watch the interviews of previous years students, that will help you to understand more !
