salaries in a particular bank is fixed in respect to their norms. moreover, it depends on the ranking in a bank. for public sector banks, you would have to apply for CWE conducted by IBPS twice a year. however, banks like SBI have their exams for different cadres.
for private sector banks, you will have to appear for their respective entrances.
