Candidates with PCM of +60% in class XII English +50% in 10th or 12th; and who have cleared the Indian Maritime University CET-Examination are eligible for selection to this course. One Year Pre-Sea training (Semester I & II) leads to a Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS for Merchant Navy). At the commencement stage of the programme, a candidate is already selected by an international shipping company who will provide training-placement on board their ships at the end of the Semester II.
