Yes, candidates are recommended to submit their design portfolios at the time of the TDV interview. Portfolio must include the best works and must include a wide variety of works. 

Yes, the Design Village is conducting mock tests for the TDV 2026 entrance exam. The mock test is available on the TDV admission portal. The mock test is free. Note that the mocks tests are conducted close to the exam.

The purpose of the mock tests is to give the candidate a first-hand experience of the exam-day atmospher, and how to answer questions, types of questions asked, etc. 

Candidates applying for Assistant Commandant (GD) will appear for section I of computer based screening test, which will consists of 100 questions (4 marks for each correct answer). Stage I examination will be conducted on PAN India basis for a duration of two hours. Section I is divided into four subsections consist of English, Reasoning & Numerical Ability, General Science & Mathematical aptitude and General Knowledge.

Admission to the design courses offered by the Design Village will be based on the merit rank of the candidate in the TDV 2024 entrance exam. The candidate must appear in all the stages of the admission process. This includes counseling, which will be conducted soon after the declaration of exam results.
