Dear it seems difficult to get a good branch in vnit but yes u can get other nits . its better if u specified any branch .it will give you a clear idea of opening and closing rank in diffrent nits . best of luck (Y)

Having a technical (btech) degree is always better than simple graduation (eco hons.)
Since from this year DU courses are 4 year long, so taking admission in an NIT will be a more sensible option.
