PR rules are extremely tight in UK for international students. Tier 4 - International Students must get their visas converted to either Tier 1, Tier 2 or Tier 5 and this is possible if you are hired and/or sponsored by an employer, which is again very difficult. Please keep yourself updated with international news, you must be aware that from 2016 all international students and non-EU nationals will have to earn at least 35,000 per annum to apply for PR in the UK. You must also know that work permit rules are equally difficult. Please go through this website:

In terms of affordability, Canada is better as compared to Australia and therefore preferred by more international students. Also, Canada is tagged to be more safe and tolerant.
