In order to crack IITs, you need to have more than 90s and specifically in higher ranges and if not then atleast more than 75% but it would not work.

There isn't like a XYZ number you need to get in order to get a seat in B.A. Journalism. a 70-80% would do good. In specific to MCC there is no separate entrance exam that you need to give. It is all based on the percentage that you achieve in class 12th.
