Canadian universities are very strict and competitive. You must work hard on your academics and have good marks. Recommended percentile in 12th is 75% and above for any good university. Take your IELTS recommended score is 6 in every section. Be good in your studies and extracurricular activities. Now, the admission process takes a year, by this time of next year you must submit your application to enroll in 2020. Please check major university websites for information. Related to admission, deadlines, programs etc. Decide what to study. After going through the websites you will gather idea of the entire process.

They get cream of students and as a result different companies flock to them for recruitment. In the next rung are many institutions. Colleges with NAAC A grading cones next. Hence, I feel it will be great to get degree from NAAC A if not from IIT. Best wishes to you.

There are certain criteria that need to be satisfied if you want to get admission into and undergraduate course, namely B.Tech in your case, in Thapar University:
1. 10+2 with 60%marks and 55% for SC/ST
2. At least 20% marks in JEE Main (15% for SC/ST)
or
1. 10+2 with at least 80% marks (75% for SC/ST) aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and any one of- Chemistry, Biology or Computer Science

No, they do not accept CMAT score. Only CAT score is applicable.
