To pursue a career in Astronomy, you need to pass 10+2 in Science stream with Maths and Physics as core subjects.
After completing graduation you can take up a Master's degree in Physics and Astronomy.
Thereafter, you can even opt for a specialization in astronomy i.e PhD which enables you to become an astronomer/ astronaut/ astrophysicist/ scientist or a research officer.
For PhD, you need to appear for the Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) examination.

- A beginner could be employed as a junior researcher in any existing Astronomy project.
- An Astronomer usually works for the government, defense and space research organizations, electrical and electronic equipment manufacturers etc.

Salary :
Salary depends on various parameters such as size of the organization, profile, qualification, experience etc.
But, still, to give you a brief idea,
- Freshers can earn a salary of Rs. 10000-12000 per month.
- Government bodies and research institutes employ astronomers with high salary package and other allowances.
- Many globally reputed institutions such as NASA offer high package for talented students.

Fee Structure
Fees: Rs. 7.5 Lacs for the 2 year programme:
The fee is only a course fee and does not include hostel fee and expenses for living.
Fees are to be paid in two installments in each year
I Year
First Installment: Rs.1, 87,500/- at the time of admission.
Second Installment Rs.1, 87,500/- by November 30, 2013
II Year
Third Installment: Rs. 1, 87,500/- at the beginning of second year in July 2013
Fourth Installment Rs. 1, 87,500/- by November 30, 2013
Other Expenses
Caution Money Deposit of Rs.10,000/- is to be paid at the time of admission (Refundable).
Placement fees as specified by the Placement Assistance Cell is Rs. 20,000/- per year.
Alumni Life Membership of Rs. 10,000/- is to be paid at the time of admission.

In order to study at a German university, you must demonstrate a university entrance qualification.
You also need to take a German language course can demonstrate appropriate language skills. The necessary language skills either through the "German Language Examination for University Entrance" - proved TestDaF or through the "German test part" of the assessment test at Studienkollegs - DSH or the "Test of German as a foreign language
It is also possible that before the commencement of study the Courses for Foreign Students must visit if your foreign university entrance qualification for access to German universities is inadequate. For inclusion in the preparatory course, you must first pass the entrance exam.
The preparatory course is completed with the assessment test. Only when you have passed these, you can study at a German university.

No, it doesnt accept MAT scores.
Eligibility
Graduates (at least a three year bachelor degree) in any discipline with an aggregate of 50 percent or more marks are eligible to apply. Candidates appearing for the final examination for the bachelor degree can also apply, provided they complete their degree course prior to the commencement of the PGDM programme.
Admission Procedure
Candidates should appear either Common Admissions Test (CAT) conducted by the IIMs or Xavier Admission Test (XAT) conducted by XLRI or Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) conducted by AICTE,
KIAMS uses CAT / XAT / CMAT for short listing the candidates. IIMs, XLRI and AICTE have no role either in selection process or in conduct of the programme.

Eligibility
Candidates must have passed a three-year graduation degree B.A./B.Com./B.Sc./ BBA/BCA or an equivalent of four years of B.Tech/B.Pharm from a recognized university with minimum 55% marks in aggregate.
Valid score in CAT / CMAT / MAT / XAT / ATMA / GMAT/ SNAP/M-JPAT.
Candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation degree are also eligible to apply, subject to the conditions that their result will be declared before June 30th and they submit documentary proof of passing their the graduation with 55% marks by August 31st of the academic session.
