Hello Sandhya, Let's say you want to pursue CSE in B.Tech and you also want to study Psychology as well. For this kind of Programmes college will allow you but Psychology will be a Minor course (You can get a minor degree if you complete the full Minor course). And CSE in B.Tech will be your Main Stream. And to have/join a Minor course you will have to maintain a CGPA 8 or Above. The list of Minor Courses are : The streams which provide minor courses are CSE, ECE, EEE, Mechanical, Civil, BBA Economics, English Studies, Sociology, Journalism, History, Psychology, Physics Chemistry Mathematics, Biology etc. There are a wide number of courses like Cyber Security, AIML, IoT, SE from the CSE Department. And CAD/CAM, 3D Printing, Mechatronics, Automotive from Mechanical Department. VLSI Designs and MEMS, Wireless Sensor Networks, Embedded Systems Design from ECE Department. Structural Engineering, Environmental Engineering from Civil Department. Not only these but there are also many new courses which would add this year. Every year, the Minor courses increase. For my batch, they started this minor programme from my 4th Semester. A student can opt and can even drop for any minor degree at any time as their wish but once opted, needed to take permission from HOD and the academics team to discontinue any minor

Hello Sandhya, yes, Hostel Facilities are offered by SRMAP. There are different towers assigned for girls and boys with good infrastructure. But there is this one tower named as Vedhavathi, it's totally not worth the money you'll be paying for the hostel facility, there is no ventilation for Washrooms & Bathrooms at all (resulting in bad smell). Reports (from other juniors and seniors) say that Rats/Bugs were spotted in rooms. And Bunker beds in Vedhavathi are dangerous, since the rooms roof height is really low some students had cuts in fingers (resulting in sleeping on Floor, which leaves no space to walk at all). I request you to not choose this Tower if you are going to stay in Hostel. (It's really bad)Other Towers are good to go. Mess Food : It's not worth your money (regardless of, in what tower you chose )
Food is same. It's not worth it, Don't be fooled by the menu college has shown (You will hate this food. Reason: It's not worth the money you spend, that's what every student feels). If you have to choose Vedhavathi tower, go for independent rental houses/Outside Hostels (that have good records and reviews, it's better than staying in Vedhavathi).
