1. JEE Main (AIR 29,770)
NITs:

Computer Science Engineering (CSE) at the top NITs (Trichy, Surathkal, Warangal) probably won't happen, because their closing ranks in CSE are typically under about 5,000 - 7,000.

NITs that are newer or lesser known (NIT Goa and NIT Sikkim, and NIT Mizoram, and NIT Puducherry, and NIT Uttarakhand and NIT Nagaland) have let in CS aspirants up to rank 28,000 - 32,000 in Home State quota in CSAB special rounds.

For the other top branches, core NITs just will not be possible for CSE at this rank.

IIITs: Some of the newer IIITs (IIIT Kottayam, IIIT Ranchi, IIIT Una, IIIT Bhagalpur) might admit CSE at this rank, generally through some of their last rounds or home state quotas.

2. VITEEE (Rank 7,188)
VIT Vellore: CSE closes around 5,000 - 6,500 in general round, so you are just above the cutoff for CSE at Vellore, but you may want to try for some CSE specialisations like CSE (AI/ML/Data Science), or IT, or general category (higher fee) seats at VIT Vellore.

VIT Chennai: Very likely to get CSE (core) at VIT Chennai campus, with closing of CSE going to be around 7,500 - 8,500 at Chennai.  thus, you are well within range for CSE at this campus in either general or higher fee categories.

Counseling Process to take Admission in VIT Andhra Pradesh through Andhra Pradesh EAMCET
VIT Andhra Pradesh (VIT-AP) takes admission BTech based on candidates' Andhra Pradesh EAMCET (limited to Andhra Pradesh EAPCET) scores. As per the rules of APSCHE, VIT-AP fills around 20 % of its BTech seats through EAMCET counseling.

Registration and Document verifications

Registered candidates has to Register for Andhra Pradesh EAMCET counseling which should be done online through the official Andhra Pradesh EAMCET counseling portal (eapcet-sche.aptonline.in/EAPCET).

Candidates need to upload a copy their documents and verify it online.

Web options (Choice filling)
Registered candidates who are also eligible will log in and fill their preference of desired colleges and branches including VIT Andhra Pradesh.

Web option entry for the 2025 final phase will be from 28th to 31st July 2025.

Candidates will also be able to edit/change their web options on the specified date (1st August 2025).

Seat allocation.

The seat allotment result for the final phase will declared on 4th August 2025.

Allotments will done based on the EAMCET rank, category of the candidate, availability of seats and the filled in preferences.

Reporting and fees

MBA (General) - School of Management Studies Admission Mode: Admission will be based on CAT 2024 score, Group Discussion & Personal Interview. Minimum Eligibility: The minimum eligibility criteria states that the candidate should have a graduation degree with minimum 60% (as per the equivalency) from a recognized University. Some sources might mention 55% for reserved category etc. Cutoff Information (CAT-based Admission) Although the University of Hyderabad does not officially publish an exact CAT percentile cutoff, a number of current sources and reputed portals have speculated that the cutoff of CAT for MBA with UoH is close to the range of 80 percentile to 85 percentile.
