I can talk about the automobile engineering at LPU, as I am an alumni and had friends who did this course. Automobile Engineering course mainly focuses on the management of concept development, look, research, manufacturing, operation and servicing of both on and off-road vehicles. Automobile Engineering particularly deals with the development and style of automobiles. With the advent of E-Mobility (e-Bikes, Electric car) a lot of opportunities are accessible for these graduates after completing B.Tech in Automobile Engineering. LPU is good for automobile engineering. Good placements in core company as well as software company. Other than participating different events like go kart, project expo, entertainment events like one India, one world etc. Practical based learning and valuable guest lectures also. LPU provides a lot of opportunities to each and every of the eligible students for good placement. LPU rated as 11th Best in India from Zee News Survey in Placements. They give you a very good amount of training before you go into campus placements. Try not to miss those classes they will help you in getting better placements, after all, all we need is a decent place with good exposure. I shouldn't even have to explain this one. Various major companies take part in recruitment at LPU every year, some as Volkswagon, Voltas, Anglo Eastern Ship Mgt. , Asahi India, Rockman (Hero group), Dharam Consulting, Samundra, Indo-MIM, Sandhar Technologies, JK Lakshmi Cement, Maruti, Lava, XL Dynamics, Asahi India, Cleanmax Solar, Elgi Equipments, etc. On an average, 200 MNCs visit our campus every year, placing around 2000 students every year. Packages vary from 7.9 LPA to 30lpa based on the individual skill. Apart from their placements, LPU also provides rich support to its students to focus on their entrepreneurship projects that can help the student set up their own business. Every year, lot of championships and competitions such as Go Kart are organized in the university for giving a platform to students for innovation and development. In 2019, when PM Modi visited to university for addressing Indian Science Congress "a driver less car" was deigned by the students to drop them from helipad to the main venue. A good question and a question the runs in the Iand of those who complete class 12th.
The answer is each one is better in one or the other way.
First, B.Tech:
It is a very productive and profitable course for the nation as well as for personal. It is widely preferred by many science group students as there are many branches to pursue and there are many engineering colleges.
Then coming to cons, it worth only if you study in a good college. You need to choose a college where better education, training and campus placements are offered.
Only then you will not be feeling difficult to have a good job. The only thing is you need to work hard as only less jobs are available.
Second B.Sc:It is a widely preferred course by science group who wanted to go in arts and science stream. There are many courses available and so there is no restrictions in choosing a course. The thing is you will get a good job for sure but you will not be paid equal to a B.Tech graduate even if you have taken the same course.
Say, if a B.Tech computer science engineering graduate will be paid more than b.sc computer science graduate.
B.Tech must be studied in a top college but b.sc can be studied in an average college and you need to pursue an m.sc to get a good salary job and to increase your reputation.
And one thing, B.Sc is easier than B.Tech.

Selection of stream depends upon your area of interest and career aspirations. The broad three streams after class 10th for students to select are- science, commerce and humanities/arts.
- Science: This field is related to medical studies and engineering, with subjects like physics, chemistry and biology.
- Commerce: This stream is related to trade, commerce, business and financial marketing. If you have a strong mathematics and financial abilities, commerce is best for you.
- Humanities/Arts: This stream is the widest of all, and is related to education in subjects like history, geography, political science, psychology, sociology, languages, anthropology, human resources, journalism, etc.
