It would be easier if you provide information regarding your score and also which specialisation would you prefer. To be honest both IES MCRC and MET are best colleges on their respective ways (still depends on your choice of specialisation). So as far as decision is concerned just go with which area of specialisation you would want to pursue further and then compare the colleges. As far as IES MCRC is concerned they provide various ways to excel I. e. they provide us with lots of live projects for each specialisation and also has best faculty members to guide through out, not only that we have industry mentors who would guide us through the industry of your choice. Apart from that we have sum fun learning sessions and also too many guest lectures and this help us to improve the our networking. Placements in IES MCRC are decent enough but again that totally depends on your performance throughout. Again I would say choose wisely by comparing them in the parameters mentioned above and mainly on your area of specialisation.

Just refer the engineering cutoff of last year from KEA website and GET an idea, But w. r. t colleges inside Bangalore there is no limit, for Top ranked and for top courses for general merit, any ranking upto 5000 is preferred, but for general colleges in Bangalore even upto 30,000 rank for general merit is okay. But do note, just by doing plain BE course in any or even in reputed college alone will not make your career good, you will have to improve your biodata, by adding some more extra skills related to your professional course, by attending outside college also some more professional short term courses. Then only you can make it well in your career.

50% Seats (ACPC, GoG):- 50% seat of the total intake will be filled in by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC, GoG). These seats shall be filled-in by the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from the schools located in the State of Gujarat including Diu, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli. 35% All India Seats:- 35% (All India) seat of the total seats will be filled-in by Institute of Technology, Nirma University. These seats shall be filled from the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from the schools located in India (including Gujarat State) and have appeared for JEE (Main) 2018 examination. Merit list for these seats shall be based on All India Rank of JEE (Main) 2018 examination.
15% NRI / NRI sponsored Seats:- 15% NRI seats will be filled-in by Institute of Technology, Nirma University. NRI seats will be filled in by the Candidate who have passed the qualifying examination abroad and is exempted from appearing in JEE (Main)-2018 or candidate who have passed qualifying examination from the school located in India (having NRI status) have to appear in JEE (Main) 2018 examination. Merit list for these seats shall be based on the qualifying examination. First preference will be given to NRI candidates in admission. After existing NRI candidates merit list, if seats remain vacant, the same will be filled-up by NRI Sponsored candidates. NRI sponsored seats will be filled by the candidates who have passed the Qualifying Examination from the schools located in India (including Gujarat State). Merit list for these seats shall be based on the All India Rank of JEE (Main) 2018.
