I am not so aware about SSE but Shiv Nadar University's Economics department has one of the best faculty members. They are quite approachable and versatile with their research interests. They motivate you to pursue research through the OUR (Opportunities in Undergraduate Research) programme. I believe what gives SNU an edge over SSE is the number of options to explore. Not only the School of Management, Performing Arts and Humanities but an "economist" has the option to explore in the School of Engineering and School of Natural Sciences. There are some really interesting engineering courses that are useful for everyone and SNU gives you the freedom to explore them. Also, SNU provides attractive scholarships to all those who meet the requirements which are financially convenient and the campus is almost 10 times bigger than SSE. Finally, it's all on you and your passion. Go through both university websites; that will give you a clear idea of what do these institutions offer.

But before selecting a branch, you must be clear about your interest and what you want to be in your life. Because this is the time when you step towards your future. If you are really interested in electrodynamics and electrostatics from your class 12th knowledge and also digital electronics. Then, you surely should choose this branch. It is a field where you will learn about the different methods of network circuits. You will learn how telecommunication works, how machines runs on electricity, how to programme the systems and how to design controllers to increase it's accuracy! These are the small ones. Here, you will directly apply your knowledge in laboratories and will learn VLSI designing. You will learn how your household gets power from electricity, what makes system require more power, what are the things written as specs on any electrical appliances. So, you can see that everything that we are seeing around us. Mainly, such as evolution just because electrical power and electrical appliances. These stuffs make electrical engineering more lovable and more practical. So for this question, surely, it is the best branch.
