Reading on topics from commerce books is a good idea, however in most universities, you will be taught the basics to acquaint you to the course. IILM University, DU, IP University are popular for their management courses where you get a practical perspective about the concepts taught. CBSE is the most popular board in the country, ISC ensures that you go into the depths of the subject and are able to apply the concepts well, State boards are also good.
