Hi Phani,
I really appreciate your perseverance but with your educational qualification it is difficult to go for MBA. For BBA also you need to clear high secondary. However, I would suggest you to check with Open Universities India, if they accept 10th pass students for BBA program. If not then the option for you would be to do 12th from open schooling and then do your graduation.
Although, you may face lot of hitches in getting further education (one could be your age) but I would say where there is a will there is a way.

Yes, the degree programs can only be provided by the Universities which are recognised by UGC or the Institutes which are affiliated to these Universities. All the Institutes providing technical programs come under the jurisdiction of AICTE and can only provide Post graduate diploma or diploma programs. They can only provide a degree program if they or the degree provided by them are affiliated with a University recognized by UGC. So if you are studying in any such Institute then they have given you the correct Information.
However, not in all the cases they would be treated equvilent. You may face problem when you go for higher educ
