CSE and ME are entirely different with CSE comprising scientific and engineering aspects of computing and designing automated machine systems and intelligent bots. Vellore Institute of Technology has a higher ranking, better faculty members and a reputation in the educational world. In VIT whatever the campus, the only branch that's good for placements is CSE. If you take core branches even in Vellore then also it's very difficult to get into core companies because there are very less core companies visiting for placements and its a high probability that you will be placed in mass. So CSE in VIT Andhra Pradesh is a good option as compared to the core branch in Vellore (in terms of placement).
