For the present, except Australia and New Zeeland, other countries, specially USA are quite safe for the Indian students. USA is more alert for the safety point of view on account of its already existing vast culturally diverse population consisting of variety of ethnics. President Obama, with a Kenyan background, having been elected as US President, is the living example of respect by US population towards various ethnic cultures.
SO, don't be afraid of going to USA for your studies.

If you are looking for a Masters degree, then most of the institutions look for atleast 60%. There are colleges who accept above 50% also. If it is for a PG Diploma program then 50% is what is needed. Please note that together with the percentage of marks, the institutions will ask for an Engklish Language certification like, IELTS/PTE or TOEFL
