IPE good but placement is all depends upon your caliber and overall skills and after all knowledge!
main thing behind less placement is reducing craze about MBA bcoz of recession and govt policy of india towards education system.even if u saw economic budget 28-02-2013 of INDIA.u ll get that there ll be very very less jobs for MBA now and also in future .

To get into IT industry, I may suggest you to pick M.C.A. Go for regular study if have studied Maths in class XII.
Without Maths, you can opt the following ways-
1. Pick Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications which will make you eligible for 2nd year M.C.A through lateral entry and simultaneously pursue DOEACC A Level.
2. Distance M.C.A with I.G.N.O.U as it allows you to clear Maths exam and then proceed with the master program.
Simultaneously, you can opt for industry relevant certifications in order to enhance the career opportunities.
