If you plan to do your higher studies in India, then you might not be able to pursue informatics as that requires mathematics. For any other country, you will need to check the eligibility criteria as 40% is too low. So, score well in grade 12.

As per the directive by the state / central government or as per the decision of the college management, a percentage of the total number of seats in the college are reserved only for those students satisfying a given criteria, for example, students who belong to scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST). Such reserved seats are called quota.

You can go for entrance exams held by various universities. The top government institutes are NID and NIFT. As per your course in designing you can go for various private institutions too. Generally, the entrance exam is divided into CAT or GAT. Followed by studio test and personal interview.
