Supriya, according to me it would be better for you to drop a year for the preparation of PMT as CRASH/CAPSULE courses are merely REVISION tools, if you haven't gone through the whole preparation phase then you'll not able to do any miracle just on the basis of any CRASH course. So, you should drop. But But But! Only if you're:
-having good confidence level
-good at understanding concept
-good at reasoning
-can manage the things during dropped year
And please don't opt to drop if you're:
-not sure of outcome
-not sure whether the circumstances would allow you completely to prepare freely and comfortably
-if your family is against it(try to convince them, MORAL support during such decisions is MUST from the parents' end)
So, final decision would be yours, analyse and think and then decide.

Hi Namitha, to join engineering you must first appear in engineering entrance exam like : AIEEE (national - level entrance exam) , JEE (national - level entrance exam) , SLEEE (state - level entrance exam) .
These exams are considered significant, especially in India, because most of the students in the country aim for engineering studies, immediately after their +2.
