After 12th in Science (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry), you may go for engineering courses such as civil, mechanical, electronics etc. (ONLY if you fulfill the eligibility criteria).
2)
Apart from doing the degree level courses in Science with the conventional combinations you can also choose degree courses in several emerging professional areas such as occupational therapy, computer, business administration.
3)
You can also opt for courses outside the university stream such as hotel management, fashion technology, aircraft maintenance engineering, government accredited computer courses.
However, other than Science stream you may even explore the opportunities Commerce and Humanities offer.
Selecting a course / stream entirely depends on your interest, skills and long term career goal. So, decide wisely.

To take admission in interior design course, one needs to pass 12th in any stream. There is no age limit. Admission will be on the basis of the score in the institute’s entrance exam and interview thereafter.

While selecting the best institute, you need to check some of the important parameters such as recognition, year of establishment, batch size, syllabus, faculty, fees, placements etc.

1) A degree course is usually a 3 to 4 year long course conferred by a UGC recognized university, after the completion of a course. An institute can not confer a degree. Whereas, a diploma is a short term course, lasting 1 or 2 years, and is not necessarily given by a university, but by an institute or a polytechnic as well.
2) In degree, there is one subject that you major in, called the specialization whereas other subjects are called electives. On the other hand, diploma is a specific academic award usually awarded in professional / vocational courses.
3) Degree programs give more in-depth knowledge and potentially to start at a higher level. Whereas, diploma programs provide education within your given field and get you into the work force sooner.
4) According to industry professionals, a degree holder is preferred over a diploma holder in the same field. On the other side, the relative importance of a diploma, when compared to a degree course is less.
