Hi Manik,
Its little bit difficult to say anythnig about VIT because last year around 4,720 students are offered admissions at VIT University ,Vellore and Chennai.
Out of this number, 3600 seats were offered to students at VIT Vellore and the remaining 1,120 at VIT Chennai ,but only the first 20,000 rank holders are called for counselling.
All major branches like CS, EC, EE are likely to close at 9,000 in main campus and 15,000 in chennai campus
With these rank you will not get chance in Vellore campus.
May you get chance in Chennai Campus for Civil and Mechanical.

Hi,
Chemistry as a subject which needs equal and constant practice as compared to the other two subjects i.e. Physics and Biology.
It is very important to understand each and every topic and their basic concepts; hence you must go through the NCERT and ABC.
First start with Physical Chemistry, spend time in solved examples, mug up all formulas. Once the concepts are clear, try to implement these concepts and procedures by solving max.
Book: Physical Chemistry, By: O.P. Tandon
Inorganic chemistry is more about facts and little about concepts.
Organic chemistry is very demanding where you must have clarity about the concept.
