While appearing for AFSB, candidates need to carry the following documents: AFCAT Admit Card Original Matriculation/ Secondary School Certificate and Mark sheets issued by CBSE/ ICSE/ State Board No Other Certificate will be accepted for verification of Date of Birth Original Marks Sheet & Certificate of 10+2 (issued by the relevant Board) Original/ Provisional Graduation Degree/ Post Graduation Degree Certificates and Marksheet of each year/ semester issued by University. Provisional Certificate issued by college principal is not acceptable. However, Provisional Degree Certificate issued by the University is acceptable In case of final year/ semester students, a Certificate from the College Principal with proper stamp is required Two attested photocopies of certificates Original NCC Certificate (if applicable) NOC from employers for candidates working in Central/ State government. Or Public Sector Undertakings Original valid Commercial Pilots' License, issued by DGCA, if applicable Inbound Railway Ticket/ Bus Tickets. (For refund of Travelling Allowance) 20 copies of passport-size photographs.

If you have completed your 12th grade with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics), and you're interested in pursuing a graduation course that would be beneficial for UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) preparation, you have several options to consider. Here are a few courses that are popular among UPSC aspirants:

1. Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science: This course provides a strong foundation in political science, which is a relevant subject for the UPSC exam. It covers topics such as Indian politics, international relations, public administration, and governance.

2. Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History: History is an important subject in the UPSC syllabus. A BA in History will help you develop a comprehensive understanding of India's past, which is crucial for the history and culture sections of the UPSC exam.

3. Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Public Administration: Public Administration is a highly relevant subject for UPSC preparation as it covers topics related to governance, bureaucracy, and public policy. This course will provide you with a good understanding of administrative systems and their functioning.

4. Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics: Economics is an important subject in the UPSC exam, particularly in areas such as Indian economy, economic development, and social issues. A BA in Economics will equip you with the necessary knowledge and analytical skills required for these topics.

5. Bachelor of Lawns (LLB): Pursuing a law degree can be advantageous for UPSC preparation, especially for subjects such as institutional law, administrative law, and international law. Additional, a legal background can be beneficial for a career in the civil services.

These are just a few examples, and there are other graduation courses that can be helpful for UPSC preparation as well. Ultimately, the choice of course depends on your interests and strengths.

Candidates need to secure the minimum qualifying marks separately in the written exam and AFSB test. Candidates are placed in the order of merit on the basis of the total marks secured by them in the written examination and in the AFSB tests. 10 per cent of the vacancies are reserved for NCC Air Wing Senior Division C Certificate holders in Ground Duty (Technical and Nontechnical) Branches. Allotment of branch is based on number of vacancies, performance in the selection process, medical fitness and the choice given by the candidates. Candidates need to secure the section-wise and overall cut off marks inorder to qualify the online test of AFCAT.

Any candidate who have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board with a 50 per cent aggregate. 5% relaxation is given to students belonging to a reserved category, I. e. candidates who have secured at least 45 per cent can apply for the exam. There is no age limit to appear for the ATMA exam. Candidates who are awaiting the results of Class 12 can also appear for the SET exam, and can present the mark sheet at the time of admission. Candidates who have completed Class 12 or equivalent from any Foreign Board and have obtained an equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian University (AIU) are also eligible to apply for SET exam. The candidates who do not match the SET eligibility criteria will but have filled the SET application form will be disqualified. Their application forms will be rejected. Therefore, candidates must check the eligibility criteria before filling the application form. The SET application fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

The tentative dates for SET 2024 is during the first or second week of May 2024. The registration is most likely to begin some months prior to the examination, followed by application process. 

Candidates should list all the institutes that they are aspiring to be in through SET and choose them during their registration process.

Applicants may apply for the AFA exam if they have passed their graduation exams. Additionally, they have the option to apply through the twice-yearly CDS test. Through the AFCAT exam, individuals, both male and female, can apply for technical and ground tasks as well. Through the NDA, those who have finished their Class 12 can become members of AFA. After spending the first three years in NDA Khadakwasla, Pune, flying training will be transferred to AFA.
